Okay so this picture isn't the best but hey, you can't see the purple bags under my eyes, who really cares?
We all have our off days- the ones where you stay in your PJ's all day and eat nothing but crap food. That's pretty much 5 out of the 7 days of the week for me...
BUT I do have my occasional good/productive days.
Last night and today were examples of a good day for me.
Last night I managed to work out. I usually go to the gym, but I was so busy last night, it didn't happen. So I made up my own work out by putting on Pandora and literally running circles around my living room. Then I dropped to the floor and did a butt load of crunches, and then some squats.
That might not have been the proper way to work out, but at least I did it. And I'm pretty sure the work out gods give you credit for trying.
Then this morning, I looked at my scary, yet almost threatening to do list and I sighed. These things were never going to get done if I were in PJ's and eating crappy food.
So I squared my shoulders, washed my face, put on shorts that almost fit me, and tackled it.
I not only cleaned Scarlett's room, but the bathroom, and *drum roll* THE KITCHEN.
Then I broke down boxes that we used for our moving, mailed bills, and SWEPT. All whilst Scarlett played happily in her room.
What is this life?
Not every day is going to be this productive, glass half-full, makeup on day. My days include a lot of idleness, dirty diapers on the ground, and split ends.
THAT IS OKAY. Don't be so hard on yourself. I've learned that even if you try and fail, it's better than not trying at all.
