Two Years

Our anniversary was a couple of weeks ago and I'm now just writing about it...

When it turned midnight on 5/31, we sat in our bed and exchanged a gift. It felt like Christmas because as a couple we SUCK at surprises and we actually managed to have sealed lips this time! 

He had bought me a Fit Bit which I have been begging him for and I gave him cologne that had human pheromones in it (the guy who sold it to me winked at me when he told me that. It was like he knew it was supposed to enhance my need to buy it....well it worked okay...are you happy??)  

My mom was able to babysit and my hubby and I finally got a "night off" from parent world. 

I took an actual shower and actually blow dried my hair! I put makeup on people!! 

We are foodie people so we love trying restaurants we've never been to before. We ended up in downtown Tucson, which is actually a hip happen' place. Who would have guessed??

We ate at The Hub which was American comfort food, but it's famously known for it's ice cream brewery! 

I ordered my favorite food- Chicken Alfredo and my husband is a huge seafood fan (ew!) so he splurged and went with the surf&turf. 

Then we snuck it to the waiter that it was a special night for us so he brought us our ice cream in a martini glass that had sprinkles around the rim, topped with a lit candle. Whoo! 

The ice cream was DELICIOUS and I'm pretty sure it's our new favorite restaurant now. 

We are pretty simple people so we didn't want to go all out for this. Trust me, just getting out and being alone with my sweetie was enough for me. 

These past two years have been a crazy ride, but I have loved every minute of it! He really is my best friend and I couldn't have asked for a better slumber party partner.
