Switch Off

PC: Jason Barba

I took a media break for a couple days.

It's good for the soul.

Every year my husband's family has a reunion up in Cloudcroft, New Mexico.

It's beautiful there and every time we go up there we talk about leaving the commotion of the city and living in the mountains.

I do not camp whatsoever but they have a working shower and a lodge there so I make the commitment to go every year ha!

I love my husband's family! They are so warm and welcoming and amazing cooks! I always gain a couple lbs there.

I also love looking forward to it every year because it gives me an opportunity to switch off the electronics and allow me to refocus on what really matters.

I am so mad at myself for not taking any pictures but good at the same time because I wasn't worried about taking that "perfect" picture.

It's amazing how much social media rules our lives and warps our perception of the real world. We can easily forget what's real and what's not.

This week try and find the time to switch off and switch on to more important things.

Have a great rest of the week everybody!

PS: this picture is on my Insta! I've noticed that I have some new followers on there so if you read this, please please like my Insta and follow me on Snap!

How cute is my babe!?

Scarlett

♥ she hates baths, but loves getting her hair washed
♥ she snores
♥ her hair is black close up, but is red in the sun (score!)
♥ she sleeps almost 4-5 hours at a time (whoop whoop!)
♥ she is SUPER strong (can almost hold her head up!)
♥ she hates getting her diaper changed

We are so in love! But I'm not going to lie.

Motherhood is WORK. It's no walk in the park.

I can count on both hands how many breakdowns I've had in 3 weeks.

But man, oh man, how I love her!

She is really a blessing to our life.

One day at a time has been my motto for the past 3 weeks.

I had her almost 4 weeks ago so if you couldn't tell, it's hard to just jump on the computer and write. I'm hoping to have her birth story up soon.........
