mother's day

Happy belated Mother's Day!

Although I look deathly tired here, I was on cloud nine. I had my very own babe. She was (is) this tiny, little bundle of overwhelming, beautiful, poopy joy.

Dante spoiled me on Sunday with taking the baby while I slept in. Then he proceeded to clean the WHOLE house...what??  And for dinner he made me my favorite food- Creamy Tortellini Soup. Can it please be Mother's Day every day? ;)

Motherhood has definitely been the most emotionally challenging thing I've gone through. Especially when I put her to sleep, crawl into my comfy, warm bed and then I hear her wake up...or when she cries for hours on end...or even when I can't put her down to write this blog post and I end up typing with one finger...

Motherhood is HARD. But I think about when she is going to be leaving the nest and having her own children and it makes these hard moments subside. She grows SO fast, so even though it's an emotional struggle, it's a worth it struggle.

It only takes your child rolling off the couch and hitting the hard ground once to realize how much you love your kid, huh? Oh come on, we've all been there!

♥ she hates baths, but loves getting her hair washed
♥ she snores
♥ her hair is black close up, but is red in the sun (score!)
♥ she sleeps almost 4-5 hours at a time (whoop whoop!)
♥ she is SUPER strong (can almost hold her head up!)
♥ she hates getting her diaper changed

We are so in love! But I'm not going to lie.

Motherhood is WORK. It's no walk in the park.

I can count on both hands how many breakdowns I've had in 3 weeks.

But man, oh man, how I love her!

She is really a blessing to our life.

One day at a time has been my motto for the past 3 weeks.

I had her almost 4 weeks ago so if you couldn't tell, it's hard to just jump on the computer and write. I'm hoping to have her birth story up soon.........
